Hello!

Outfornow 4x4
2022 ︎︎︎ Design and produce a collection

Putting craftsmanship to the test for the first time, this collection featured 4 designs in 4 colorways but only one per piece. As it was the first forray into production sewing the biggest challlenge was swapping out thread colors to match the fabric and fussing around with the thread tension.

...more about it here!

Bag-A-Day 2022 ︎︎︎ Design, patternmake, and sew a bag everyday for a week ︎︎︎ Make a backpack for the first time

With no preconceptions other than the ideas in a sketchbook, this was an exercise in taking a concept from sketch to final product in one day. Each day exploring a progressively complex design in either construction or technique.

The backpack was the main goal and turned into a 3 day adventure. It features a center-access zip, grab handles, a tensioning system to cinch the pockets, and mounting points for various accessory bags.

10 days and 8 ideas.

Rollie 2020 ︎︎︎ Hold all bouldering essentials in a single bag ︎︎︎ Why do all chalk buckets look and function the same?

Equipment should reliably serve as many functions as possible and adapt to varying circumstances in a concise and enjoyable manner, ultimately enhancing the experience it is designed for. Rollie is designed to carry all of the bouldering essentials (shoes too!) in a concise package for convenient access and packability.

The bag is comprised of a split-panel wrap and drawstring chalk bucket with a reinforced bottom. Connected by webbing, the panels feature elastic tie-downs for brushes and magnets to satisfingly fold away. It also holds the whole package with climbing shoes together.

Wanted Trash 2019 ︎︎︎ 8.3 billion tons of global plastic waste produced, only 9% has been recycled ︎︎︎ Stop “recycling” ︎︎︎ “plastic is good”

America’s current means of recycling fails to match the rate at which it generates waste. Largely due to public belief that the sorted plastic, paper, and glass going into blue bins goes anywhere other than a landfill. Wanted Trash is an exploration of alternative means of recycling via public infrastructre.

What might a plastic bag laminating press station look like? If given the tools, instruction, and facilities to turn the plastic bag full of plastic bags under their sinks into a functional object, would they do it?
